God is wonderful by Elaine Davenport (October 14- 21, 2007)

Before we pray, I just want to put you in mind of my Uncle John. He was the center of our family for such a long time. He was so much fun to be around. Oh my goodness. He only had one major flaw and I wasn't able to make headway on it to help him. In other words, I didn't know what to do at the time. Some of you may (more likely than not) have this same problem. Uncle John said he was an agnostic. I suspect it was what some might call a "popular" decision made by people in the "in crowd" who want to be different. Uncle John had been different all of his life, once he made a decision he stuck by it. I talked to him about that agnostic thing but I didn't have the kind of ammunition that I have now. I found out after he died that he respected m e so much that he never wanted me to know the extent of his bad habits. In fact, he went to great length to hide them from me. It is with great regret that I speak of this. My prayer for all of us is that we will be bold about God with our family members and our friends and not shirk back. I'm honest when I say I don't know if Uncle John changed his mind and confessed Christ before he died. I sure hope that he did.

Dearest Heavenly Father, you know our hearts. We stand before Your throne in the Authority of Jesus Christ, our great High Priest and we stand in great humility. We stand fully confident that it is Your will to add to Your family in the earth. Today, we ask that every family member, every friend who has not committed their lives to You will get an unction in their hearts to join the Kingdom of God. It is our prayer that they begin to totally understand Your way of doing things. We pray Father that they will be drawn unto You by Your Holy Spirit. We pray that the eyes of their enlightenment will be opened. We pray that their spiritual understanding will increase with such an urgency that they will no longer put off the heavenly life, the heavenly way. We pray that You will send worthy laborers to cross their paths to minister to them. We pray that they'll see miracles, signs and wonders and such Divine revelation that they will know more than ever before that You are Jehovah Jireh. We thank You and count it done. Amen

Prayer for the Week of October 1-7, 2007

O Righteous and Most Precious Father, Almighty God. It is my prayer that you Bless everyone reading this prayer today. I pray that they will increase their confidence and be firmly persuaded to study and believe Your Word. I pray that they will have clarity of mind in all of their decisions, I pray that they will come to know Your love for them and their future. You said: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health; even as thy soul prospereth in 111John 2.

I pray that there steps will be ordered by the Lord, that Your presence will go with them and You will give them rest. I pray that You will hold their right hand saying unto them: Fear not, I will help you. I pray that they will increase more and more them and their children. I pray that they will cast their burdens on you, knowing that you care for them. Father, strengthen hearts this day. I bind the spirit of confusion or fear and loose Godly wisdom and peace over each and every life in Jesus Name. Amen

PRAYER FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 24th - SEPTEMBER 30, 2007

Precious Father, we stand before Your throne this day. First and foremost we give You thanks for this glorious day. As we look upon the heavens and all of Your creation we are in awe of You. We are thankful indeed for the gift of life eternal life and that we are redeemed from poverty, sickness and spiritual death. We are thankful for Your instruction manual that You have given to us; the bible. Today, we pray that all men will move closer to you and gain wisdom on the truth of Your word. It is our prayer that they will realize that Your word is alive.

Thank You Father, that you don't care about our background and the things that we've done because You love us unconditionally. Thank You Father that healing, love joy, wisdom, salvation, favor, peace and mercy are Yours to give freely give to all that ask of You. Teach us to patiently wait for You to fix the broken pieces in our lives just being confident that You will do and always do what Your word says that You will do.

Help us to be compassionate and caring towards our fellow man. Give us insights this day as You order our steps. Strengthen us in the weak areas of our lives. Areas like: temptation, carelessness, integrity, offense, sensitivity, apathy and any other area that is not pleasing to You. We bind the spirits of: wickedness, confusion, revenge and spitefulness in our lives. We loose spirits of: calmness and peace, confidence and joy, compassion and love, and all that is good.

We release our angels to go before us to protect us from any hurt, harm or danger.
Enable us this day to speak Your word in all that we do; thus incorporating it as a full part of our lives. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN.

A Prayer for Families by Elaine Davenport ( Week of September 10th -16th, 2007)

Father, please hear our prayer. Father we lift up every family. We ask You to pour Your Love and your mercy and grace on them. It is our prayer that if they are broken; that they will be healed. Families face so much in this world Father. Your word says that whatsoever things we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever things we lose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. So we bind: abuse, trauma, poverty, alcoholism, drugs, neglect, suicide, gangs, cults, abductions, shaken baby syndrome, SID's disorder, ADD, unemployment, homelessness, mental illness, any form of sickness and disease, mismanagement of funds, disorganization, disobedience, schisms, miscommunication, division, anger, deceit or anything that might bring hurt, harm, fear or danger to any family. We loose knowledge, peace, wisdom, order, love, joy, prosperity and wholeness to families. You Blessed us with families and yet we face so much so we cast our cares and burdens on You because we know that You care for us.

Help each of us to appreciate and value the people in our lives. Five us words and acts of kindness at the right times to demonstrate the love of God. Help us to remember that the Greater One lives on the inside of us. Give us favor in our relationships, the ability to adapt, be flexible and not to be rattled. Help us to be mindful of the feelings of others. Teach us to hold our tongues when necessary. Allow us to use words that will paint a beautiful picture of the wonderful beings that we are . Allow us to be humble and patient. Correct us when we are wrong, order our steps, lead us in the right ways. As we walk, dispense our ministering angels before us to prosper our way.

Teach us to grow in Godly wisdom, make a way for us to increase, court us as we build our faith, forgive us our sins as we walk the straight and narrow path trying not to miss it to the left or to the right. Touch us so that we'll remember to be thankful, to be bold, to tell others about you unashamedly. Remind us not to be prideful. Mark us in such a way that others will want to know what we know and separate us unto You. Allow us quiet time each day with you and open a passage way for us to grow and mature, spiritually, emotionally, physically and whatever way You deem is necessary.

Father, if we have left anything uncovered or if we have overlooked anything at all big or small; please cover us. We thank You and ask it all in the Authority of our defense attorney; Jesus The High Priest. Amen

Prayer for the Week of 9/3/07-9/9/07 by Elaine Davenport

Father God in heaven, we just thank You. You are so majestic, so powerful, so full of mercy. We thank You for sending Your son, the Lord Jesus Christ to redeem us. We stand before you today asking for your unmerited favor in every endeavor and every situation that we face. Father, we ask You to direct us and guide us and should be misstep; we will be quick to repent. Father teach us how to love people in a Godly way that give You Honor and Glory.

We pray for the people of the world. We lift up the people of Jerusalem, he people of Africa and Brazil. We pray for every child that tries to make their way. We break the curse of poverty, oppression and racism over their lives. We bind Satan from fooling people and deceiving them through trickery and lies. It is our prayer that people will be open to the Word of Salvation and the Word of knowledge t5throughout the world even including the United States and within our families. We
ask it all in the Authority of Jesus.

Prayers and Confessions ; a great duo by Elaine Davenport (Tuesday, September 4, 2007)

Praying is speaking to God and telling Him what you need. It is also finding out what He needs from you. It's a two way conversation; though for years many have erroneously thought was (and still do) one way.

Confession is speaking to yourself, God and to others what it is that you are believing that the promises of God in the Word of God say that you are entitled to. In many cases it is saying what God has said to you personally. Many times it is you hearing you and faith does come by hearing.

* Confession seems to be reinforced by prayer in many cases; perhaps it even emanates from prayer. There certainly is a link. Perhaps a confession leads to prayer or prayer is linked to or focused on confession.

I had never even heard of confession power. I was led in my life to begin a prayer life. After I did this; my life flipped. It changed drastically for the better.

As a result of my closer relationship with God; I began to speak His promises over my life. It was in fact; a profession of my faith. I began to create lists of declarative faith based statements regarding my future, to believe God for these occurrences, to speak them into existence and to take action steps to make them happen. I also began to praise God and thank Him for these promises. My faith position is always one where I am in expectation.

CONFESSION, IS AN ACT OF FAITH. No one told me this; I just figured it out from reading and hearing the Word of God.

When I talk about confession in this matter today; I am speaking of confession like Abraham who called those things that be not as though they were. Jesus did it many times. I call it talking faith. Faith believes before it is seen. The bible says so.

One of the most powerful illustrations of this is the story of the Woman with the issue of blood. There are three accounts by Holy men of God: Matthew, Mark and Luke.

Here they are:
And behold, a woman who was diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the hem of His garment;

for she said to herself, "If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole." (THIS WAS HER CONFESSION)

But Jesus turned about, and when He saw her, He said, "Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole." And the woman was made whole from that hour. MATTHEW 9: 20-22

___________________________________________________________________________________

LUKE 8: 43-49

And a woman having an issue of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living upon physicians but could not be healed by any,

came behind Him and touched the border of His garment; and immediately her issue of blood was stanched.

And Jesus said, "Who touched Me?" When all denied it, Peter and those who were with him said, "Master, the multitudes throng Thee and press Thee, and sayest Thou, `Who touched Me?'"

And Jesus said, "Somebody hath touched Me, for I perceive that virtue is gone out of Me."

47And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before Him, she declared unto Him before all the people for what cause she had touched Him, and how she was healed immediately.

48And He said unto her, "Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace."

______________________________________________________________________________________

MARK 5: 27-34

And a certain woman who had an issue of blood twelve years,

and had suffered many things under many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse,

when she had heard of Jesus, came up behind Him in the press of the crowd and touched His garment;

for she said, "If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole." (THIS WAS HER CONFESSION)

And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned about in the press of the crowd and said, "Who touched My clothes?"

And His disciples said unto Him, "Thou seest the multitude thronging Thee, and sayest Thou, `Who touched Me?'"

And He looked round about to see her who had done this thing.

But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done in her, came and fell down before Him and told Him all the truth.

And He said unto her, "Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace, and be whole of thy plague."

_________________________________________________________________________________

THIS WOMAN PUT FAITH INTO ACTION, BY BELIEVING, BY TALKING AND DOING.

SHE SAID: IF I MAY BUT TOUCH HIS GARMENT (HIS CLOTHES) , I'LL BE MADE WHOLE.
SHE BELIEVED...THEN SHE WENT TO FIND JESUS.

SHE PRESSED TO TOUCH HIM
SHE GOT HER HEALING....

BUT IT ALL STARTED WITH THE POWER OF CONFESSION WHICH BUILT HER FAITH AND GOD HONORED HER CONFESSION. WOW. THAT'S POWERFUL. WHAT ARE YOU CONFESSING?

____________________________________________________________________________________

Your confession doesn't have to be a dissertation; but it has to come out of your mouth.

Faith speaks and faith acts/ Faith doesn't just sit and wait and think good thoughts.
Let's look at Jesus in Mark 11`: 22, 23, 24 as he teaches the disciple of Jesus about the power of confession regarding problems or mountains that get in our way. Since I am a disciple of Jesus; I receive this as instruction for myself and other disciples. Here it is:

And Peter, calling to remembrance, said unto Him, "Master, behold, the fig tree which Thou cursed is withered away." And Jesus answering, said unto them, "Have faith in God.

For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, `Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea,' and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.

IN ONE VERSE; JESUS TALKED ABOUT THE BASE WORD "SAY" 4 TIMES. THAT'S SIGNIFICANT.

So, I watch what I say knowing that my negative confession or my positive confession can shape my life. I believe it, put my faith out for it and back it up with the Word of God. In other words, whatever I am believing God for; I make certain that it is biblical, and in prayer; I make certain that God is directing me and ordering my steps and that it is pleasing to Him. Souls are important to God and I keep His mission in my heart. I work on becoming self "less" every day.

I might add that since Confession is an act of faith that one might remember that being in expectation of change, patience, praise and giving thanks are as well.

PRAYER; NO DOUBT MAKES CONFESSION MORE POWERFUL.

Going into your Prayer Closet PART TWO by Elaine Davenport ( Monday, September 3, 2007)

This is Part Two of a series; Part One can be read in the prior posting.

I walked out of my prayer closet into a fight. I continued to pray in a quiet inaudible voice. I stood in the middle of the fight. The fight broke up almost as if the parties had never been angry. That was four years ago. The two people have been best friends who mutually respect each other ever since. THIS IS TRUE!

* WHEN I TELL PEOPLE THAT I AM A PRAYER WARRIOR. THEY LOOK AT ME AS THOUGH I SAID I'M A LIBRARIAN. Smile. We all like librarians, realize the need for them admire their diligence but we don't want to be one because we question our ability to be patient and sit for long time periods in a quiet environment.

I started a prayer life because I longed to get close to God and know Him. I decided that no one could do it for me. There was no work involved. I thought there would be. A family member told me once: "I don't believe people can really hear from God." I didn't have a response out of respect except to say: "It's true inmost cases."

Maybe what you hear today isn't for today, but when you need it it will be there for you. That's why Jesus talked about the importance of not building a house on a foundation of sand. Let's look at what the message bible says:
21-23"Knowing the correct password—saying 'Master, Master,' for instance— isn't going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, 'Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God-sponsored projects had everyone talking.' And do you know what I am going to say? 'You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don't impress me one bit. You're out of here.'

24-25"These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.

26-27"But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards."

28-29When Jesus concluded his address, the crowd burst into applause. They had never heard teaching like this. It was apparent that he was living everything he was saying—quite a contrast to their religion teachers! This was the best teaching they had ever heard.

Matthew 7: 21-29

Habitat for Humanity builds thousands of homes across the nation. It is an incredible undertaking. They have a book on How To Build a House which cost $24.95. It's a bargain. There is a whole lot involved to housebuilding. You've got materials, codes, those things that make me impatient; they make things level, you need manpower. There's a lot of stuff. Despite all of that Jesus is talking about the location. This carpenter chose to build his house on the sand; perhaps for the sake of scenery; without regard for the risk. Maybe it was cheaper, maybe it was free. Obviously it was easier.

It is certainly easier to come to church once a week if then and hear the Word and get charged up for a short time. However in Mark; it says that The Sower sweth te Word and four different things can happen:

The sower soweth the Word. (THE WORD GOES FORTH; YOU HEAR IT)

15And these are they by the wayside, where the Word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately and taketh away the Word that was sown in their hearts.

16And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground who, when they have heard the Word, immediately receive it with gladness;

17but they have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time. Afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the Word's sake, immediately they are offended.

18And these are they which are sown among thorns, such as hear the Word,

19but the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the Word, and it becometh unfruitful.

20And these are they which are sown on good ground, such as hear the Word and receive it and bring forth fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred."

If you read and seriously meditate upon these; it will show you why you can't afford to just come to church on Sundays but that you have to deliberately set out to hear the Word of God and build up your faith and establish yourself in prayer. When an emergency comes for you or someone that you know, you don't want a battery that won't work, you want to be charged up. AMEN.

Just something to think about. There is real power in prayer.

Going in to your Prayer Closet PART ONE by Elaine Davenport (Sunday, September 2, 2007)

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO FROM A PRAYER PERSPECTIVE WHEN AN EMERGENCY HAPPENS?

I'm just curious. Are you ready?

IS YOUR HOUSE BUILT ON THE SAND?

* I'm not trying to puff anyone up, but a lot of people don't understand the need for understanding the importance of prayer. Fortunately, a lot of people do. Squirrels store nuts up all summer in my flower box for winter. My grandmother used to can peaches in Mason jars in the summer heat for winter. It's the cutest thing; they know they'll need it.
Ants work and work. My grandmother used to say" If you don't do tis, even after I'm gone, I'll know it, the ants will bring me the news." Ants have been around for a long long time. I don't quote science journals, but the bible spoke of the hard working ants.

A Lesson from the Ant
6-11 You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
All summer it stores up food;
at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed?
A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there,
sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life,
poverty your permanent houseguest!

PROVERBS 6: 6 (THE MESSAGE BIBLE)

HOW DO YOU STORE YOURSELF UP IN PRAYER? JUST BY PRAYING REGULARLY AND CONTINUALLY. Don't let it become routine. Your aim in prayer should be the wonderful opportunity to meet with God, become close to Him and to pray for others as well as to gain Wisdom on matters that concern you.

It's important to build a a solid foundation of faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. If you've got on your listening ears, hearing the Word, reading the Word, speaking the Word will build up your faith. You are a spirit and it will charge your spirit. As you build your faith, you will come to truly understand the need for prayer.

Here are some prayer scriptures to meditate upon:

A Prayer For the Week by Elaine Davenport (August 20th through August 25th, 2007)

Psalm 86:6
"Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications."
Mark 11:24
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
1John 5:14-15
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."

Dearest Father in heaven, we kneel before your throne and bring our petitions unto you in the Authority of Jesus. We ask you to be mindful of each of us and to order our steps. Help us Lord to remember that it's all about You and not all about us. We pray for our leaders and the people of this world that they will be in tune with Your will. Most of all we pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

We lift up every single leader in this world. Especially we lift up our Spiritual leaders and we pray that they will be able to stand with their loins girded about them. We thank you for our families and friends. We pray for their eyes to see the truth of Your word; their hearts to understand and their ears to hear. We plead the Blood of Jesus over our households, we declare that the Blood covers us in any and every situation that we face. We pray for our obedience, our ability to spend time with You and our ability to immediately do what You instruct us to do without doubt or rationalization. We pray for our comprehension of Your word and particularly that we might understand and exemplify what you intend when You explain how important Love is.

Father we ask you to forgive us for things we've done wrong; knowingly or unknowingly. We thank for for balance in our lives and the elimination of confusion. We thank you for Spiritual growth and knowledge and we thank You for correction. Father thank You for Godly Wisdom, healing, wholeness, patience and prosperity. We thank You that this week we have confidence that we walk in Victory with great favor and that no matter what comes our way; we've got it under control and we remain unshakeable. Thanking You in advance, Your grateful children

Trusting in God (Thursday, July 19, 2007)

Prayer For Trusting in God

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to bring you our Prayer petitions. We are concerned and challenged LORD but in the midst of it all, You were on our mind. The concerns that we speaks about are: you fill in _______________, ___________________, and ________________________.
Father, your Word says that we will be far from oppression and we should not fear terror for it shall not come near us. (Isa 54:14) You said that we would be established in righteousness. You said that if they gather together against us that they would surely fall. You said that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and that ANY tongue that rises against us; we would condemn. (Isa 55: 10-12)

You said for 10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. 12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Father, you have not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and of love and a sound mind. Father, your Word says trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understanding so we put

our trust in you and will not go by what we can reason in our head but instead we will walk by faith and not by sight knowing that You will lead us beside the restful waters all the while refreshing our minds and emotions regarding these matters that confront and challenge us today.

We thank you Father for your love, your wisdom, Your guidance, Your peace, and we look to you for comfort because we love You and trust You. Your Word is a light unto our path and a lamp unto our feet. You said: Do not let your heart be troubled, (John 14: 26, You said my presence shall go with thee and I will give thee rest. You said I will compass thee about with favor as a shield, you said I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight, I will break in pieces the brazen doors, and cut asunder the bars of iron. Thank you Father that we have great cause to rejoice in your Word and to delight herself/himself in You. In Jesus Name we ask and pray. AMEN.

Now it's up to you By Elaine Davenport (Sunday, July 1, 2007)

Dear Friend, How are you? I know that you’re alright no matter what you are facing. About two years ago, I woke up about four o’clock in the morning to get ready to go to early morning prayer but I was so dizzy and the room was spinning that I thought that I was still asleep. I was so disgusted when I realized that I was awake. I had to press on. You see, I had faced much much worse so really this was nothing but I STILL wanted it to go away. I had to get up and just push myself to go to prayer.

It was the funniest thing that as SOON as I got in that chapel…it went away.

When I left out…POOF…it came right back. It was the trick of the enemy always trying to hold us back from our assignments. I could have had a pity party- in fact, I did for quite awhile to myself and anyone who would give me sympathy…not many thank the LORD. (smile) So I was able to move on to more important matters. I’m not saying ignore all sickness, I’m just saying that I had been sick before and though this seemed like it; I claimed a healing and got it. What a victory. You have no idea.

I’m a soldier in the army of the LORD, collecting full benefits and I just want to encourage you because you’re a soldier too. I’m collecting full benefits, but this is a tricky war we’re fighting here and it’s serious. Soldiers are getting wounded on the battlefield and some are being taken out and some are going AWOL. It’s crazy. There are a whole lot of soldiers out there without ammunition and some don’t have any armor and I mean none. Ephesians 6:10-18 gives us the whole prescription for what to do as soldiers. The combat gear is free and you already have it. You just have to put it on.

So, fellow soldier; you’ve reported for duty… IT’S UP TO YOU.

1. What next?

2. Which direction will you go in?

3. Will you go out to the nations to take the Word of the LORD to them?

4. Will you willingly and eagerly lay hands on the sick?

5. Will you go into the ministry effectively with a fervent heart?

6. Will you lovingly and peaceably carry the message of the gospel to the four corners of the earth?

7. Will you implement that witty invention that the LORD gave to you?

8. Will you love your neighbor as yourself taking care of God’s family knowing that he’ll take care of yours?

9. Will you get rid of anything in your heart that doesn’t belong there?

10. Will you do all that there is to stand and stand therefore?

11. Will you move closer to God today…not tomorrow?

12. Will you make this world a better place more than just with words but with deeds?

13. Will you save souls?

14. Will you recruit more laborers to do the work that God has called us to do?

15. Will you walk in love at all times no matter how you feel?

16. Will you do all that you can to make those around you look better and be better than they are never taking credit?

17. Will you serve the LORD and HEARKEN to His every bid?

18. Will you teach and share everywhere that you go?

19. Will you listen when it’s called for?

20. Will you hear?

Oh if only I were able to assure you that there would be no more questions, but there will be many many more. Just be ready to answer them for when you reach a level where you can search yourself and answer them with ease you’ll be ready to move from the front lines and up up up in the ranks. That’s the way God wants it…I know it. Be Well Sister Elaine

A Prayer for our children by Elaine Davenport (Saturday, June 30, 2007)

Dear Heavenly Father, we praise you and we Bless you today. Thank you for this day and the love and the revelation that we have. Father we thank you for gifting us with our children. We commit their lives to you. We stand in faith that their faith will grow and grow and that one day they will become bold laborers for your kingdom. Father, we declare that they will commit their ways unto you, and in doing so their thoughts will be established. Father we pray that your word will become exciting and intriguing to them. That they will know right from wrong. We pray that they will have the ability to discern any work or word that is not of you or that does not edify you. Father we pray that as they exercise their independence in the ways of the world, that they will realize that this is not what they want to do. We pray that they will know in their hearts what is your will for them. We covenant with you in advance and we thank you for this. In the name of Jesus. Amen

A Prayer For the Lost By Elaine Davenport (Friday, June 29, 2007)

Heavenly Father we come before you this day to pray for the lost in our families, in our friendships, in our acquaintances, amongst our neighbors and strangers. Father we love them as much as we love ourselves and we make no exceptions for this for this is your will. Father, we know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Today we ask you to give us a special anointing. A daring anointing! An anointing where we won’t hesitate, we won’t hold back about You. Father we are asking today for changes to come in our lives for all of these people; that we may see and hear marvelous testimonies from them as to how they were touched by the Spirit of the Living God. Father, we ask if you will help us and guide us to know that if we ask anything of you in faith being confidently convinced, then we shall have what we ask. We promise not to come back to you to remind you or to ask you if you forgot our prayer. We will be patient and continue to follow your lead and your Word. In the authority of Jesus we ask and pray, Amen.

A Prayer For Good Health By Elaine DAvenport (Thursday, June 28, 2007)

Blessed Father on high, thank you for this joyful day. Father, you woke me up to a brighter day and I am thankful. Because of your love, I am redeemed. Thank you that your grace is sufficient for me. Father, I am thankful for your enduring tender mercies. Thankful am I for you Word and it’s revealing nature and revelation. Because of you I am renewed, refreshed, restored, re-energized! Father, today I come before you with a humble heart. I am Blessed! I am strong! I am walking in grace! I have favor. I humbly beseech you today to send forth your angles to my path today. I plead the blood of Jesus over any circumstance that I or my family may encounter. Nothing shall by any means hurt or harm us. My body is whole and healthy. My mind is free and clear. My thoughts are established and rooted in love. I pray for my family Lord and I ask you to guide them, direct them and strengthen them in the faith. I pray that you will send laborers across their paths. Father, I know that should temptation, test or trial come before them or I that you are faithful and will create a door of escape and that we are not alone. I am your child and I am glad. I have a covenant with you. You said that you will hold my right hand and that I don’t have to fear anything or anyone. Nothing has a hold on me because I am more than a conqueror. My blood pressure is normal and will stay there. I declare that my sleep patterns will become stable. I am thankful for your love and thankful for my victory. I love you so much. In Jesus Name, I ask and pray. AMEN

CLOUDS GATHERED AS WE PRAYED! By Elaine Davenport (Wednesday, June 27,2007)

I woke up early this morning today. I woke up today with God on my mind. It was certain ly too early to get up I thought. I tried to go back to sleep. It didn't work. I was wide-eyed and there was much to be done. I decided that I wasn't going to make it to Prayer. I went to check on my Blogs and on the Healing Blog; it showed that 41 people had visited the site last night. I was amazed. I washed my hair after much writing and watered the lawn. It was still early. Soon, I was driving to prayer. I met my friends coming out of the sanctuary and we met in our famous prayer pow wow on the parking lot. It was a sunny day then. I just happened to glance in the sky; there was not a cloud in sight. We began to pray for various prayer needs that we were aware of. and then we began to pray for other people. We prayed intensely for our spiritual leadership, the nation of Israel, the American soldiers . Right around that time, we looked in the sky and saw one beautiful giant cloud.

Sister Rose told us that she had read somewhere that the clouds represent the dust of Jesus feet. We continued to pray. We looked up again and guess what? There were seven cloud formations. I would write with exclamation marks everywhere but the software on this site does not allow it. Oh well.

We talked briefly about how the number seven spiritually represents completion and we continued to pray. We prayed til we were exhausted. It was refreshing and not tiring. This is true. When we finished our prayer; almost two hours had went by. There were four of us.

I ended up having an incredible day. I am so thankful. I just want to ask you if you have a prayer life? If you don't, all I can say is that if you develop one, your life will change for the better.

I was raised to believe that I only needed to send up a prayer in an emergency. At around ten years of age, I began to have casual conversations with God. There wasn't much information out on developing a prayer life. In those days, the only people who were recognized as having Godly relationships were ministers, priests and nuns. Life changes.

Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
and the evil man his thoughts
Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways" declares the Lord

As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts

(Isaiah 55:6-9)

A Prayer for Other people By Elaine Davenport Thursday, June 21, 2007

Heavenly Father, we bask in Your presence this day because we love You and we know in Your presence is fullness of joy and at your right hand there are pleasures forever more. We thank You and we revere You. We long to be closer to You and to do Your perfect will. Your Word says that whom the Lord loveth, He correcteth; so if we have missed the mark in any way, please correct us. It is our prayer today, not for ourselves, but for others today Lord. Please , send the ministering angels out to the lost to prosper their way. Today we declare that they are more than conquerors and that they shall know the truth ands the truth shall make them free. It is our prayer that they may come to know the full stature of Your perfect will for their lives. We are asking You to send worthy laborers to cross their paths. Each suited with a tailor made agenda for the specific need of every lost person. We pray that those with every need will meet someone who will not only minister to them, but also to pray with them and to bring them into salvation.

Father, Your Word says that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. So, we are asking the You to place that thirst within each lost person so that they can receive3e the indwelling Spirit of God. We believe that we receive when we ask for it and we count it done in the Authority of Jesus Christ, the Messiah; the Anointed One. Amen

From lowly victim to prayer warrior by E. Davenport(Wednesday, June 13, 2007)

There was a time in my life when I viewed myself as a lowly victim. The enemy was whooping up on me and I thought there was nothing I could do about it. And then I woke up. Hallelujah. They won't let me put exclamation marks on this site. That's hard for someone on fire for God. Very hard. Anyway, I didn't know about Luke 10: 19; which says:

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (KJV)

When I found this out, I then read Hebrews 11: 1 which says:

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

But I did not have a lot of faith and then I read Romans 10: 17 which says:

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So, I make up my mind. I DECIDED TO START SATURATING MYSELF WITH THE WORD OF GOD JUST TO SEE IF THIS WAS TRUE. COULD I ACTUALLY GET MORE FAITH? I SET OUT ON A JOURNEY TO GET IT.

On that journey which I am still on, I found some answers to questions that we all have.

Yes, you can get more faith by hearing the Word of God.
Yes, your prayer life can lengthen and improve.

On this journey thus far, my life has radically changed and I am now a prayer warrior. I am a soldier for God representing the Kingdom of God, defending many things. I'm no longer a victim. My prayers are answered. Sign up for duty.

PRAY THE WORD (Wednesday, June 6, 2007)

SCRIPTURES TO MEMORIZE

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yes, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, who hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. (WBS) PSALM 35: 27

After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” Genesis 15: 1

DEUT: 8:18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

PSALM 112: 1-3

Praise the LORD!

Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.

2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.

2 Corinthians 9: 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

1 John 3: 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

ISAIAH 1: 19 If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land;

ECC 7: 10-12 Do not say, "Why were the days of the past better than these?" For it is not wise to ask this. 11Wisdom with a gift passed down from father to son is good and a help to those who see the sun. 12For wisdom keeps one from danger just as money keeps one from danger. But the good thing about much learning is that wisdom keeps alive those who have it.

PSALM 119: 130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

DEUT 8: 17-18 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.

18But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Say a little prayer today by Elaine Davenport (Monday, June 4, 2007)

This is so amazing! The other night, I was checking my site statistics at one of my Blog sites. I am able to see many things and since I love analysis, it's even more interesting. Well, one of my sites had not had any new posts because I was so busy, but I had noted that even when I was posting it still wasn't that busy. I still plan to post and continue, no matter what happens. You know, when it snows or rains, people change their plans, but I am unaffected by faith of what happens like a lack of traffic; but I STILL said a prayer. I told the Lord: "Lord, you told me to do this, please send some people to this site, in Jesus Name and I thank you " After that, I forgot about it. I have a busy schedule and currently in a whirlwind that I've expected.

I checked those stats today and God sent MORE people than had ever been there before. God is so faithful, so Amazing. So Awesome. I just love Him and I am Thankful.

PSALM 145 (Sunday, June 3, 2007)

I met a wonderful friend, who has a wonderful revelation from God on praying the Scriptures. Her name is Sister Jeanie and I've added a link to her site here on the right side of this page. n I'm looking forward to her being a Guest Writer at this site. I've decided to attempt to pray Psalm 145 out and I'm asking you to join me. I changed the pronouns as Sister Jeanie does. It will Bless you mightily.

I will extol You, my God, O king; and I will bless Your name for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless You; and I will praise Your name for ever and ever.

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.

I will speak of the glorious honour of Your majesty, and of Your wondrous works.

And men shall speak of the might of Your terrible acts: and I will declare Your greatness.

They shall abundantly utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness.

The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

All Your works shall praise You, O LORD; and Your saints shall bless You.

They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power;

To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endureth throughout all generations.

The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

The eyes of all wait upon You; and You givest them their meat in due season.

You openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.

He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

The LORD preserveth all them that love Him: but all the wicked will He destroy.

My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.

A PRAYER FOR SIBLINGS (Saturday, June 2, 2007)

Oh Heavenly Father, please hear our cry: We are so amazed about our siblings and we all have different concerns. But, we know that You are the God that is more than enough and you know our needs and can meet our every need sufficiently. We know this Lord! For some of us, we simply don’t know where our siblings are and for some of us we simply don’t know what they’re doing. Still others are concerned that they seem to be on a destructive path. Father we ask that no matter what the exact circumstances are that you will first purify our hearts and then you will change these situations that our siblings find themselves in. Father we are asking you to touch their lives, turn them around, Bless them, pour your love on them, shine your light upon them, allow them to walk in your grace and to come to your throne of mercy in their time of need. We thank you, we adore you. In Jesus Name we ask and pray. Amen

A Prayer of Resolution By Elaine Davenport (Wednesday, May 30, 2007)

In the authority of Jesus, we come before you Precious Father, and our hearts are open to your voice. In fact, we will hear your voice and the voice of a stranger, we will not follow. We lift up ____________ this day, for he/she is troubled on many sides; specifically in these areas:___________

_______________, ___________________ and we stand on your word…for it says: Heaven and Earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away, (Matt 24:35) and we know that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God! (Matthew 4:4)

You said: Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Mark 8:38.

We are asking you today for wisdom and resolution of these challenges faced by __________ this day Lord. Your word says: (Proverbs 8:6-11) Hear for I will speak of excellent things, and the opening of my lips shall be the right things. For my mouth shall speak truth and wickedness is an abomination (outrage, scandal) to my lips. Father you said all the words of your mouth are in righteousness and that they are plain to him that understandeth, You said they are right to them that find knowledge; so we pray that ______ will find the knowledge to handle the challenges that are at the forefront of her/his mind today. Father your word says: Receive my instruction and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies, and all things to be desired are not to be compared with it. So our prayer of agreement is for an increasing wisdom for__________ so that he/she won’t miss it to the left or to the right.

____________ shall be guided by her/his integrity, We know that he that hath knowledge spareth his words and that a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. So we declare that _____________ will spare her/his words in any situation that they face and continue on as led by the spirit of God. We declare that __________ will use wisdom and that men and women who know them will begin to remark about her/his excellent spirit in fact, an excellent spirit will be her/his trademark. ((Prov. 17: 27) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world; even our faith. 1John 5:4 Father we count it a victory today in all of these areas in Jesus name. AMEN

A Prayer of protection By Elaine Davenport (Tuesday, May 29, 2007)

A PRAYER OF PROTECTION

Heavenly Father, we come before you today in prayer for the purpose of Blessing ___________- in her time of need. It is our hope that _________ will be strengthened and enlightened during and after this prayer; that any doubt in her/his heart will be removed and that mountains will be removed out of her/his life. The challenge that __________ faces this day is regarding_____________________________. Father our strength comes from your Word which says: How are they increased which trouble me? Many are they that rise up against me, many which say of my soul; there is no help for him in God. But thou O God ART a shield for me, my glory and the lifter up of my head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice and He heard me out of His holy hill. I laid me down and slept; I awakened for the Lord had sustained me. I WILL NOT BE AFRAID of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about. Father we know this: Because _________ dwells in the secret place of the most High __________shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. WHERE'S YOUR PASSION? by Elaine Davenport (Monday, May 21, 2007)

Where's Your Passion ?

My passion is prayer. Where's yours? If it's prayer, I challenge you to get "busier." There are some great things coming forth from concentrated prayer. If you want to know more about it, drop me a line.

IT’S PAST TIME FOR US TO TALK SOME RELENTLESS TALK TO SOME PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS AND SHOW THEM SOME SIGNS AND WONDERS!

Settle [it] therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. Luke 21: 14,15

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, Ephesians 6: 19

Blessings, Dear friend! How are you doing? I pray that this letter finds you well. I really care. Everyday I pray for you because you are so critically important to the body of Christ. You do make a difference with your efforts and your pure heart. You know, God has called so many people forth to pray and to make a difference and while some are thinking about it, analyzing it and dissecting it; you came forth and have stayed. God is pleased. I just wrote to you to tell you that your good efforts are noted and that there is much to do. However, I’m not concerned in anyway because “we” can handle it! There is a bigger homeless problem than the world talks about. I’m not being presumptuous, I have a question for you and for myself:

WHAT ARE “WE” DOING ABOUT THE KINGDOM HOMELESS?

You know…the people who right now have no residence in heaven. What are we doing about them? They’re all around us, we’ve got to get to work. We must be relentless!

Relentless means: being persistent, unyielding, insistent, inexorable which means: uncompromising, unstoppable, unavoidable and changeable. Have you been this way about the Gospel? If you have, then you’ve got to help somebody else.

There is a fire that burns on the inside of every believer. Inside of you and inside of me. Sometimes it is raging out of control. It gives us a passion to tell others about God, about Jesus and about the Holy Ghost! We want to tell them about salvation and healing and wholeness and some more good stuff that will set them free. We want to give them hope for the future and to tell them about victory; but they literally don’t want to hear it sometimes. I’ve watched people and they will listen to stuff that they hate; but they definitely don’t want to hear me talk about God. It feels like they are throwing water on my fire and trying to put it out. But, I don’t go by “feelings”. Smile. Over time that wears away at you if you aren’t careful and you’ll find yourself being selective about who you tell. Well that’s what the enemy wants and so I won’t do it.

I want to encourage you to prepare yourself to take God’s message to the far corners of the earth…(and even next door) Make that Word intense and lively when you speak it! If it is dull and unexciting to us…it will be the same for the people who hear us talk. First, get your ammunition, get in the Word and get clear on this! If you’ve got it down pat…help somebody else. You won’t have to go far, I assure you!

There’s also a fire that burns in side of every unbeliever. We’ve just got to help them get that fire going. They’re unsure, uncertain, doubtful, hesitant, indecisive, undecided because they are waiting for YOU to cross their path and SAY SOMETHING!

I recently sent a letter to two people in the mail telling them about the LORD. They were two people who have faced multiple challenges and I was sure that they would throw the letter away and never read it. Imagine my surprise when they called and said: “What should we do next?”

We have to be prepared to tell them what to do next. I sure learned a lesson there, smile. I just want to tell you: Don’t let them (anyone who doesn’t want to hear your words) throw water on your fire and if they do…rekindle it right away! YOU HAVE AN ETERNAL FLAME! I love you and be Blessed fellow officer in the LORD’s army!
