YOUR COURSE IS CLEAR By Elaine Davenport (Friday, May 18, 2007)

It is most likely that you've got a prayer need. Maybe you just need a little encouraging, a little convincing. I've got a word for you. God said in His Word in 3 John2:

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers.

So He has already spoken that He wants the best for you. Whatever your need, your crisis, your trouble, your anguish, your concern is; God says He wants the 100% best for you!

The most important thing to God is that souls be saved. Look at that verse again, He says He wants you to prosper, have wholeness and your health to be good just as much as He wants your soul to be whole.

LOOK AT JOSHUA

God spent time with Joshua, encouraging him because Joshua was His new leader and must have felt like he wasn't as good as Moses. In other words, he might have felt a little inferior. God kept telling Joshua to: "Be strong and courageous." He even told Joshua that He'd make him famous and that people would be in awe of him. God did what He promised for Joshua.

Then he gave Joshua His strong unchanging hand.

Do you need a strong hand. Get before God. Get in the Word. Meditate in it day and night like God's instructions says: "For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1: 8

Now you know what to do. Your course is clear.

"Yes, God, your God, dried up the Jordan's waters for you until you had crossed, just as God, your God, did at the Red Sea, which had dried up before us until we had crossed. This was so that everybody on earth would recognize how strong God's rescuing hand is and so that you would hold God in solemn reverence always." Joshua 4 : 23,24 The Message Bible

Joshua 5

1 When all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan and the Canaanite kings along the seacoast heard how God had stopped the Jordan River before the People of Israel until they had crossed over, their hearts sank; the courage drained out of them just thinking about the People of Israel.
