A PRAYER FOR SIBLINGS (Saturday, June 2, 2007)

Oh Heavenly Father, please hear our cry: We are so amazed about our siblings and we all have different concerns. But, we know that You are the God that is more than enough and you know our needs and can meet our every need sufficiently. We know this Lord! For some of us, we simply don’t know where our siblings are and for some of us we simply don’t know what they’re doing. Still others are concerned that they seem to be on a destructive path. Father we ask that no matter what the exact circumstances are that you will first purify our hearts and then you will change these situations that our siblings find themselves in. Father we are asking you to touch their lives, turn them around, Bless them, pour your love on them, shine your light upon them, allow them to walk in your grace and to come to your throne of mercy in their time of need. We thank you, we adore you. In Jesus Name we ask and pray. Amen

A PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN By Elaine Davenport (Friday, June 1, 2007)

Dear Heavenly Father, we praise you and we Bless you today. Thank you for this day and the love and the revelation that we have. Father we thank you for gifting us with our children. We commit their lives to you. We stand in faith that their faith will grow and grow and that one day they will become bold laborers for your kingdom. Father, we declare that they will commit their ways unto you, and in doing so their thoughts will be established. Father we pray that your word will become exciting and intriguing to them. That they will know right from wrong. We pray that they will have the ability to discern any work or word that is not of you or that does not edify you. Father we pray that as they exercise their independence in the ways of the world, that they will realize that this is not what they want to do. We pray that they will know in their hearts what is your will for them. We covenant with you in advance and we thank you for this. In the name of Jesus. Amen

A PRAYER FOR THE LOST By Elaine Davenport (Thursday, May 31, 2007)

Heavenly Father we come before you this day to pray for the lost in our families, in our friendships, in our acquaintances, amongst our neighbors and strangers. Father we love them as much as we love ourselves and we make no exceptions for this for this is your will. Father, we know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Today we ask you to give us a special anointing. A daring anointing! An anointing where we won’t hesitate, we won’t hold back about You. Father we are asking today for changes to come in our lives for all of these people; that we may see and hear marvelous testimonies from them as to how they were touched by the Spirit of the Living God! Father, we ask if you will help us and guide us to know that if we ask anything of you in faith being confidently convinced, then we shall have what we ask. We promise not to come back to you to remind you or to ask you if you forgot our prayer. We will be patient and continue to follow your lead and your Word. In the authority of Jesus we ask and pray, Amen.

A Prayer of Resolution By Elaine Davenport (Wednesday, May 30, 2007)

In the authority of Jesus, we come before you Precious Father, and our hearts are open to your voice. In fact, we will hear your voice and the voice of a stranger, we will not follow. We lift up ____________ this day, for he/she is troubled on many sides; specifically in these areas:___________

_______________, ___________________ and we stand on your word…for it says: Heaven and Earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away, (Matt 24:35) and we know that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God! (Matthew 4:4)

You said: Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Mark 8:38.

We are asking you today for wisdom and resolution of these challenges faced by __________ this day Lord. Your word says: (Proverbs 8:6-11) Hear for I will speak of excellent things, and the opening of my lips shall be the right things. For my mouth shall speak truth and wickedness is an abomination (outrage, scandal) to my lips. Father you said all the words of your mouth are in righteousness and that they are plain to him that understandeth, You said they are right to them that find knowledge; so we pray that ______ will find the knowledge to handle the challenges that are at the forefront of her/his mind today. Father your word says: Receive my instruction and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies, and all things to be desired are not to be compared with it. So our prayer of agreement is for an increasing wisdom for__________ so that he/she won’t miss it to the left or to the right.

____________ shall be guided by her/his integrity, We know that he that hath knowledge spareth his words and that a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. So we declare that _____________ will spare her/his words in any situation that they face and continue on as led by the spirit of God. We declare that __________ will use wisdom and that men and women who know them will begin to remark about her/his excellent spirit in fact, an excellent spirit will be her/his trademark. ((Prov. 17: 27) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world; even our faith. 1John 5:4 Father we count it a victory today in all of these areas in Jesus name. AMEN

A Prayer of protection By Elaine Davenport (Tuesday, May 29, 2007)

A PRAYER OF PROTECTION

Heavenly Father, we come before you today in prayer for the purpose of Blessing ___________- in her time of need. It is our hope that _________ will be strengthened and enlightened during and after this prayer; that any doubt in her/his heart will be removed and that mountains will be removed out of her/his life. The challenge that __________ faces this day is regarding_____________________________. Father our strength comes from your Word which says: How are they increased which trouble me? Many are they that rise up against me, many which say of my soul; there is no help for him in God. But thou O God ART a shield for me, my glory and the lifter up of my head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice and He heard me out of His holy hill. I laid me down and slept; I awakened for the Lord had sustained me. I WILL NOT BE AFRAID of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about. Father we know this: Because _________ dwells in the secret place of the most High __________shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. She /He will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt _________ trust: his truth shall be her/his shield and buckler.

______--- shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at __________’s side, and ten thousand at her/his right hand; but it shall not come nigh her/him. Only with ________’s eyes shalt she/he behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because _________ hast made the LORD, which is her/his refuge, even the most High, her/his habitation; There shall no evil befall ________, neither shall any plague come nigh her/his dwelling.

For He shall give his angels charge over ________, to keep _________ in all her/his ways. They shall bear _________ up in their hands, lest she/he dash her/his foot against a stone. ________ shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Because __________ hath set his/her love upon me, therefore will I deliver him/her: I will set her/him on high, because she/he hath known my name.

She/He shall call upon me, and I will answer her/him: I will be with her/him in trouble; I will deliver her/him, and honour her/him. With long life will I satisfy her/him, and shew her/him my salvation. Father we tank you for your Word in the mighty name of Jesus. AMEN

WHERE'S YOUR PASSION? by Elaine Davenport (Monday, May 21, 2007)

Where's Your Passion ?

My passion is prayer. Where's yours? If it's prayer, I challenge you to get "busier." There are some great things coming forth from concentrated prayer. If you want to know more about it, drop me a line.

IT’S PAST TIME FOR US TO TALK SOME RELENTLESS TALK TO SOME PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS AND SHOW THEM SOME SIGNS AND WONDERS!

Settle [it] therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. Luke 21: 14,15

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, Ephesians 6: 19

Blessings, Dear friend! How are you doing? I pray that this letter finds you well. I really care. Everyday I pray for you because you are so critically important to the body of Christ. You do make a difference with your efforts and your pure heart. You know, God has called so many people forth to pray and to make a difference and while some are thinking about it, analyzing it and dissecting it; you came forth and have stayed. God is pleased. I just wrote to you to tell you that your good efforts are noted and that there is much to do. However, I’m not concerned in anyway because “we” can handle it! There is a bigger homeless problem than the world talks about. I’m not being presumptuous, I have a question for you and for myself:

WHAT ARE “WE” DOING ABOUT THE KINGDOM HOMELESS?

You know…the people who right now have no residence in heaven. What are we doing about them? They’re all around us, we’ve got to get to work. We must be relentless!

Relentless means: being persistent, unyielding, insistent, inexorable which means: uncompromising, unstoppable, unavoidable and changeable. Have you been this way about the Gospel? If you have, then you’ve got to help somebody else.

There is a fire that burns on the inside of every believer. Inside of you and inside of me. Sometimes it is raging out of control. It gives us a passion to tell others about God, about Jesus and about the Holy Ghost! We want to tell them about salvation and healing and wholeness and some more good stuff that will set them free. We want to give them hope for the future and to tell them about victory; but they literally don’t want to hear it sometimes. I’ve watched people and they will listen to stuff that they hate; but they definitely don’t want to hear me talk about God. It feels like they are throwing water on my fire and trying to put it out. But, I don’t go by “feelings”. Smile. Over time that wears away at you if you aren’t careful and you’ll find yourself being selective about who you tell. Well that’s what the enemy wants and so I won’t do it.

I want to encourage you to prepare yourself to take God’s message to the far corners of the earth…(and even next door) Make that Word intense and lively when you speak it! If it is dull and unexciting to us…it will be the same for the people who hear us talk. First, get your ammunition, get in the Word and get clear on this! If you’ve got it down pat…help somebody else. You won’t have to go far, I assure you!

There’s also a fire that burns in side of every unbeliever. We’ve just got to help them get that fire going. They’re unsure, uncertain, doubtful, hesitant, indecisive, undecided because they are waiting for YOU to cross their path and SAY SOMETHING!

I recently sent a letter to two people in the mail telling them about the LORD. They were two people who have faced multiple challenges and I was sure that they would throw the letter away and never read it. Imagine my surprise when they called and said: “What should we do next?”

We have to be prepared to tell them what to do next. I sure learned a lesson there, smile. I just want to tell you: Don’t let them (anyone who doesn’t want to hear your words) throw water on your fire and if they do…rekindle it right away! YOU HAVE AN ETERNAL FLAME! I love you and be Blessed fellow officer in the LORD’s army!

YOUR COURSE IS CLEAR By Elaine Davenport (Friday, May 18, 2007)

It is most likely that you've got a prayer need. Maybe you just need a little encouraging, a little convincing. I've got a word for you. God said in His Word in 3 John2:

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers.

So He has already spoken that He wants the best for you. Whatever your need, your crisis, your trouble, your anguish, your concern is; God says He wants the 100% best for you!

The most important thing to God is that souls be saved. Look at that verse again, He says He wants you to prosper, have wholeness and your health to be good just as much as He wants your soul to be whole.

LOOK AT JOSHUA

God spent time with Joshua, encouraging him because Joshua was His new leader and must have felt like he wasn't as good as Moses. In other words, he might have felt a little inferior. God kept telling Joshua to: "Be strong and courageous." He even told Joshua that He'd make him famous and that people would be in awe of him. God did what He promised for Joshua.

Then he gave Joshua His strong unchanging hand.

Do you need a strong hand. Get before God. Get in the Word. Meditate in it day and night like God's instructions says: "For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1: 8

Now you know what to do. Your course is clear.

"Yes, God, your God, dried up the Jordan's waters for you until you had crossed, just as God, your God, did at the Red Sea, which had dried up before us until we had crossed. This was so that everybody on earth would recognize how strong God's rescuing hand is and so that you would hold God in solemn reverence always." Joshua 4 : 23,24 The Message Bible

Joshua 5

1 When all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan and the Canaanite kings along the seacoast heard how God had stopped the Jordan River before the People of Israel until they had crossed over, their hearts sank; the courage drained out of them just thinking about the People of Israel.

WHO IS THE DEVIL AND WHAT DOES HE DO? By Elaine Davenport

Satan is the source of your troubles. In Webster's 1828 Dictionary it gives a great definition of who he is.

SA'TAN, n. [Heb. an adversary.] The grand adversary of man; the devil or prince of darkness; the chief of the fallen angels.

In Strong's it says: he is a slanderer and a false accuser.

In Matthew 4: 1-3 and v. 10- He shows himself as a tempter.

In Matthew 13: 38 He shows himself as the evil one and that he plants his people in the kingdom. (Also v. 39)

In Luke 8: 10-13 He takes away God's word from the heart.

John 13: 2 He influences men to do great evil.

Acts 10:38 He oppresses people to the point that they need healing.

Ephesians 4: 25-28 Shows how you can give him an opportunity to come in your life by holding on to anger.

Revelations 12 Shows how he can deceive.

He also:

schemes, ensnares, sift people like wheat, disguises himself and hinders us.

The Bible says he roams around as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

The Bible also says that despite all of this, he's under OUR feet!

WHAT CAN STOP HIM?

*BELIEVERS WHO KNOW THEIR AUTHORITY IN CHRIST
* GOD'S SOLDIER'S (ARE YOU ONE?)
* GOD
* THE BLOOD OF JESUS
* BELIEVERS WHO HOLD FAST TO THEIR PROFESSION OF FAITH
*THE WORD OF GOD
*THE FERVENT EFFECTUAL PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN (OR WOMAN)
*THE POWER OF GOD
*ANGELS
*SPEAKING FAITH STOPS SATAN IN HIS TRACKS
*BINDING & LOOSING: YOU HAVE THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM
*STAYING PRAYED UP
*PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT; THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD
* A BAND OF PEOPLE PRAYING GOD'S WILL CAN PUT THOUSANDS OF ANGELS IN FLIGHT, QUENCHING "EVERY" FIERY DART OF THE ENEMY.
*OPERATE IN LOVE
*KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS
*NEVER QUIT BELIEVING
*BEING PATIENT
*STANDING ON THE WORD

There's more.

My point is to tell you that the devil's job is to distract you so that you'll be so "caught up" on your problems that you won't realize it's a smokescreen to get you
off the plan of God.

Make up your mind, strengthen yourself, stay encouraged, grow yourself up and others, increase your confidence, take the offensive and WIN!

Remember Psalms 34: 19

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, BUT the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

A PRAYER FOR OUR COUNTRY sent by Gene McGuire (TUESDAY, MAY 15, 2007)

Discerning Leaders

The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. So God said to him, "Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for—both riches and honor— so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings.

1 Kings 3:10-13

Almighty God,

Leading a nation is a sobering responsibility because the needs of the many exist at the mercy of the few. The siren call of power can easily seduce leaders into making disastrous decisions that disintegrate families, tear societies apart, and, in the end, set nations in opposition to You.

Lord, You are the giver of all wisdom, and from Your mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Please give us decisive leaders who have the wisdom that comes from heaven. Wisdom that is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere.

Your Word tells us, "Without wise leadership, a nation falls; with many counselors, there is safety." Endow our new leaders with humility so they will acknowledge their own shortcomings and their need for wise counsel. Surround them with men and women of wisdom and discernment, and give them the foresight to rely on godly spiritual leaders as well.

On November 2, 2004, lead the American voters to candidates with discerning hearts who not only know how to distinguish right from wrong, but are committed to upholding and enforcing what is good and what is right. We ask that You would give us discerning leaders who intuitively know when they are standing at the threshold of deception and are unafraid to back away.

For this reason, Lord, we need leaders with wisdom and discernment. Leaders able to discern the real needs of the American people and wise enough to know how to bring us with them through often uncertain waters.

May the foremost concern of our incoming leaders not be political success or the wealth of this country or victory over our enemies, but may it be the governing of the American people with wisdom and discernment.

A PRAYER FOR ENCOURAGEMENT by E. Davenport

Father, in the Name of Jesus we draw nigh unto you this day for we know that the Lord is nigh unto all that call upon Him; to all that call upon Him in truth. Father we know that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1: 17) ; we know that whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continueth therein, he being NOT a forgetful hearer; but a doer of the work, this man shall be Blessed in his deed. (James 1: 25). So Father we bring the Prayer petition of ____________ ( name ) before you this day. Father, _________( name) (your name) is your precious child, your favorite child, we declare that favor goes before her/him and prospers her/his way. Father you have heard the prayer request of ________ ( name) regarding the matters of: _________________ and ______________. It seems that all kinds of temptations and tests surround _____________(name) and that her/his choices and strategies regarding what she/he will do are critical to a good outcome. So we go to your Word for direction which says: My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience; But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire wanting nothing. Father your word says: If any of you LACK wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to ALL men liberally and upbraideth not; and it SHALL be given him. But let him ask in faith nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1: 2-7) Father we therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace on ___________’s ( name) behalf in her/his time of need. (Hebrews 4: 16)

And we simply ask that you will pour your love upon ________ ( name) this day, give her/him wisdom, revelation, grace and mercy. We pray that the eyes of her/his understanding will be enlightened this day in the knowledge of who you are. We pray that in any trial or test that _________ ( name) will be sober minded, grave and temperate. We know that you are able Lord to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us. (Ephesians 3: 20). We declare that ___________ (name) is fully persuaded having full confidence that what You have promised you are fully able to perform. (Romans 4: 21) We thank you Lord for hearing our prayer and for answering our prayer in Jesus Name. AMEN.

Over and above the call of duty by Elaine Davenport

Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]

To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it). Ephesians 3: 2-21

The Word of God is alive! It lives! If you don't believe me, find a beautiful passage in the Word and memorize it. When you meet someone, in conversation at the appropriate time, speak that passage to them. Watch their countenance. Ask the Holy Spirit beforehand to touch their hearts with the Word. Ask that they be prepared to be open to it. Don't force the Word on anyone. Be spirit led.

We don't deserve God's mercy sometimes. But God, always goes over and beyond the call of duty and I thank Him for that.

What to do when you need an urgent answer to your prayer by Elaine Davenport

Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5: 16 (Amplified Bible)

I heard this story from a friend of mine who is a prayer warrior. She spent most of her time praying for other people. She was very content to do so. She struggled for many months on tithing her income out of a very tight budget. She knew that it was the right thing to do. She is married and at the time, her husband was not born again. He thought the whole idea of her tithing was stupid she said.

One day, the mailman ran and she went to get the mail. When she got to the kitchen her husband was reading the gas bill. It was a huge amount and there was a shut off notice that came with it. He was furious about it and told her to take care of it. My friend says that her monies were earmarked for other purposes, so she called the gas company to make payment arrangements. She says they told her: "No Deal."

She went to her husband to tell him and he furiously asked: "What happened to all of your money?" She didn't answer. She knew that he would not understand. It was the middle of the winter and this was a crisis. "You'd better get the money from somewhere." he replied. She said, that he had never seemed so serious about anything.

She told me that she only had one recourse; she went into her room and got down on her knees and began to pray.

SIDEBAR: My friend explained that she felt very confident in her prayer for several reasons; here are some of them:

1. She examines herself daily by the Word of God.
a. She forgives instantly
b. She repents for her sins daily (because she knows she's not perfect)

2. She loves, loves, loves

3. She's obedient to God's instructions

4. She's a tither and when she gives, it's from her heart.

5. She prays for other people, knowing that God will meet her prayer needs as a result.

*************************************************************************************

She says that she made a demand on the covenant in her prayer. She said that she laid it all out before God in prayer and she just listened. She said God told her to call a number and that the lady on the phone would help her. The number was to the gas company. She called them and the lady didn't sound helpful at all as she laid out her dilemma to her. As my friend was about to hang up, she was given another number to call. By faith she said she called the number. As it turns out, it was a ministry that paid people's utility bills. My friend says the interesting point was that all they wanted to know was if she knew the Lord. Praise God. Her family's gas and light bills were paid by the ministry. She said that her husband was absolutely shocked. She also said that she thanked God and that she shares that story letting people know that God always shows up.

Tommorrow by Elaine Davenport

I am writing to you today, to remind you that tomorrow is National Prayer Day. The bible says:

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him. 2 Chronicles 16: 9

I'm simply asking you to keep this scripture in mind and Do Something Different tomorrow: PRAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE!

I believe that when you do this, someone will be praying for you at the same time.

THURSDAY IS NATIONAL PRAYER DAY

Blessings to you all! This Thursday is National Prayer Day and I encourage you all to participate. It won't take up much of your time. President Bush has issued an official proclamation. He is asking all Americans to: keep mindful in prayer the families and victims of Virginia Tech and to pray for our Armed Forces.

Dr. Charles Swindoll is one the spokespersons and he leaves this daily devotional for you:
2007 Prayer for Our Nation

Almighty God, we pause to reflect on Your character as we seek wisdom for such a time as this.

In these unsafe days,
You remain all-powerful and able to protect;

In these uncertain times,
You remain all-knowing, leading us aright;

In the unprecedented events we're facing,
You remain absolutely sovereign.
Our times are in Your hands.

Therefore, our dependence on You, is total, not partial
. . . our need for Your forgiveness is constant

. . . our gratitude for Your grace is profound

. . . our love for You is deep.

We ask that You guard and guide our President
and all who serve the people of these United States.
May uncompromising integrity mark their lives.

We also ask that You unite us as truly "one nation,
under God." May genuine humility return to our ranks.

And may that blend of integrity and humility
heal our land.

In our Lord's name we pray,

Amen.

There is also an Online prayer rally. Please view the side panel on this Blog for the link.
You are encouraged to count your Blessings. All is well.
