THE BEST PRAYER

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, this is what he said they should pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.

For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Amen.

(Matthew 6: 9-13 NKJV)

ANSWERED PRAYERS!

God is no repecter of persons the Bible says in many places. That means that what He'll do for someone else, He'll do for you. It's not likely to be done in the exact same way, but He'll do it for you. Now, I know for a fact that He answers prayer. I see it and hear it all the time.

They can be little problems or big ones; it's all the same to God. He can handle anything. Sometimes the answer will be different than we thought, but after a while, we'll realize it's a better answer.

I talked about this a little before.

I talked to a person on the phone last week. They were greatly distressed over an income tax check that hadn't come. When they picked up their papers from the tax person, they forgot to check them over. They just signed them and mailed them into the IRS. Unfortunately, the preparer had put the wrong address down. This caused the person great distress because they needed the check badly. Furthermore, the check was actually supposed to be a Direct Deposit, but the preparer had put the wrong routing number on it. The person who the check belonged to had written several hundred dollars worth of checks on their account expecting everything to balance out. It sounds far out, but it's a situation that we've all heard of before. We all make mistakes.

We had prayer about this on Saturday morning and what the person needed, was the check itself on Monday and no later. Their bank was several hundred miles away so we didn't want them to have to make and trip there and we wanted no bounced checks at all or NSF fees. We wanted the Post Office to give them favor and for their to be no interference as the check was slated for the wrong address.

We went before the throne of God in Jesus Name and we gave thanks. We made our prayer petition in a prayer of agreement. We believed that we received when we "asked" for it. We made a demand on the covenant and God honored our seemingly impossible prayer! Miraculously, on Monday, the person got their check and all is well!

Would you pray a prayer today if you knew that it would save your life ? by Elaine Davenport

I just won't put my foot out the door without covering myself and my family and friends in prayer. Most of the time, I leave out of my house at 5:30 (ish) in the morning to go to prayer.

My last car accident was in 1999. Before that, I was having an accident every few months. It was always someone hitting my car. The insurance company who says: "You're in good hands." said they didn't care. I forgive them and please don't hold it against them. Insurance is simply a bet about your future. When an accident happens even if it's not your fault, they can hold it against you in other words, you don't always win when you're supposed to. They can't cover you with anything except finances and that's a maybe. The insurance company cannot guarantee my life, a miracle for me or anything at all. They do what is in their best interest.

Committing your life to God is real insurance. You are guaranteed a place in the eternal kingdom. God always pays. There are no greater hands you can be in than the Father's hands. So I say to you if you have not prayed the prayer of salvation please do so today. If you have already, please find someone that you can send this to or pray with them.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I know that I am a sinner. I repent, right now, of all my sins, I'm sorry Lord and I am asking you to forgive me. You said in your Word, "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). And so, I am calling on the name of your Son, Jesus, to come into my heart and be my Savior.

You also said, ". . . if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

I believe in my heart that Jesus died for my sins and was raised from the dead so that I may have eternal life. I confess Him, right now, as my Lord. Come into my heart Lord Jesus, I declare that you are the master of my life and I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior and I turn away from sin, I know right now that I am born again!

In the name of Jesus I submit this prayer.

Amen.

NOTE: WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO FIND A GOOD BIBLE BASED CHURCH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO THAT YOU MAY LIVE A LIFE OF TOTAL VICTORY AND COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT THAT GOD HAS FOR YOUR LIFE.

The perfect Prayer

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Luke 11

And it came to pass that as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, "Lord, teach us to pray as John also taught his disciples."And He said unto them, "When ye pray, say: Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in Heaven, so on earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."

Pray the "perfect" Prayer Everytime! (Tomorrow)

A Prayer Life is Critical by Elaine Davenport

You have to have a prayer life. You can't rush it either. Ten minute prayer gets ten minute results. I heard about a man who is said to pray up to six hours in a day and probably more. That man is Dr. David Yonggi Cho. He is the Senior Pastor of the Yoiddo Full Gospel Church; which has the world's largest congregation with a membership of 800,000 in 2006.

I encourage you to begin to take baby steps and then giant steps regarding your prayer life.

This today "looks" like a little message; it is a BIG one! I know you are smart enough to embrace it. You can start by meditating on these scriptures...all the best!

Luke 18:1
"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;"

Romans 12:12
"Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;"

Ephesians 6:18
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"

Colossians 4:2
"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;"

1Thessalonians 5:17
"Pray without ceasing."

A PRAYER OF ENCOURAGEMENT

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." 1 John 5:14, 15

Father, in the Name of Jesus I draw nigh unto you this day for I know that the Lord is nigh unto all that call upon Him; to all that call upon Him in truth. Father I know that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1: 17) ; I know that whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continueth therein, he being NOT a forgetful hearer; but a doer of the work, this man shall be Blessed in his deed. (James 1: 25). So Father I bring my Prayer petition before you this day. Father, I am your precious child, your favorite child, I declare that favor goes before me and prospers my way. Father you have heard my prayer request regarding the matters of: _________________ and ______________. It seems that all kinds of temptations and tests surround me and that my choices and strategies regarding what I will do are critical to a good outcome. So I go to your Word for direction which says: My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience; But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire wanting nothing. Father your word says: If any of you LACK wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to ALL men liberally and upbraideth not; and it SHALL be given him. But let him ask in faith nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1: 2-7) Father I therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace on my behalf in my time of need. (Hebrews 4: 16)

And I simply ask that you will pour your love upon me this day, give me wisdom, revelation, grace and mercy. I pray that the eyes of my understanding will be enlightened this day in the knowledge of who you are. I pray that in any trial or test that I will be sober minded, grave and temperate. I know that you are able Lord to do exceeding abundantly above all that I could ask or think according to the power that worketh in me. (Ephesians 3: 20). I declare that I am fully persuaded having full confidence that what You have promised you are fully able to perform. (Romans 4: 21) I thank you Lord for hearing my prayer and for answering my prayer in Jesus Name. AMEN.

DON"T ACCEPT DEFEAT

Too many people are accepting defeat. I'm sick and tired of hearing it. Don't you know who you are believer? Don't you know how much power has been given to you? Today you have to make up your mind that you're not going to take it anymore! Put some prayer on it. Will you do that for me? Thanks

_______________________________________________________________

WHAT LEVEL ARE YOU AT?

The Bible gives us multiple examples of people whose faith operates at different levels. For instance there was the rich man who came to Jesus. Here is the Amplified Bible version from Matthew 19: 16 to 30.

And behold, there came a man up to Him, saying, Teacher, what excellent and perfectly and essentially good deed must I do to possess eternal life?

And He said to him, Why do you ask Me about the perfectly and essentially good? There is only One Who is good [perfectly and essentially]--God. If you would enter into the Life, you must continually keep the commandments.

He said to Him, What sort of commandments? [Or, which ones?] And Jesus answered, You shall not kill, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,

Honor your father and your mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.

The young man said, I have observed all these from my youth; what still do I lack?

Jesus answered him, If you would be perfect [that is, have that spiritual maturity which accompanies self-sacrificing character], go and sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven; and come, be My disciple [side with My party and follow Me].

But when the young man heard this, he went away sad (grieved and in much distress), for he had great possessions.

And Jesus said to His disciples, Truly I say to you, it will be difficult for a rich man to get into the kingdom of heaven.

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go into the kingdom of heaven.

When the disciples heard this, they were utterly puzzled (astonished, bewildered), saying, Who then can be saved from eternal death]?

But Jesus looked at them and said, With men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God.

Then Peter answered Him, saying, Behold, we have left [our] all and have become Your disciples [sided with Your party and followed You]. What then shall we receive?

Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, in the new age [the Messianic rebirth of the world], when the Son of Man shall sit down on the throne of His glory, you who have [become My disciples, sided with My party and] followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones and judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

And anyone and everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for My name's sake will receive many [even a hundred] times more and will inherit eternal life.

But many who [now] are first will be last [then], and many who [now] are last will be first [then].

Now the man clearly was a believer or he would not have been talking to Jesus, but he wasn't at the level where he could understand what Jesus was saying to him, so he walked away.

Then there was a woman with the issue of Blood. She was at another level. She would stop at nothing short of a touch of Jesus clothing to get her healing. Nothing could stop her. She made up her mind. She didn't go to the priest, she didn't go to find someone to pray for her, she sought the Lord. Here's her story from Mark 5: 25-34

And a certain woman who had an issue of blood twelve years

and had suffered many things under many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse

when she had heard of Jesus, came up behind Him in the press of the crowd and touched His garment;

for she said, "If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole."

And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned about in the press of the crowd and said, "Who touched My clothes?"

And His disciples said unto Him, "Thou seest the multitude thronging Thee, and sayest Thou, `Who touched Me?'"

And He looked round about to see her who had done this thing.

But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done in her, came and fell down before Him and told Him all the truth.

And He said unto her, "Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace, and be whole of thy plague."

NOW YOU HAVE SEEN PEOPLE OF FAITH AT DIFFERENT FAITH LEVELS AND YOU MUST BE ASKING; WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH PRAYER, AND I TELL YOU IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH IT!

YOUR FAITH IMPACTS YOUR PRAYER LEVEL. NOT YOUR ABILITY TO PRAY OR EVEN HOW LONG YOU CAN PRAY. THOUGH I DO SAY THAT PRAYER IS A FAITH BUILDER; BUT YOU'VE GOT TO BE WILLING IN PRAYER TO STEP UP TO HIGHER LEVELS!

THAT MEANS THAT YOU'VE GOT TO BE PREPARED TO MAKE CHANGES THAT WILL DRAW YOU CLOSER TO GOD AND AVOID THE PRAYER OF WHATEVER TRADITION YOU ATE USED TO. YOU MAY HAVE TO LEAVE THE FAMILIARITY ZONE AND STEP INTO FRESH NEW TERRITORY; BUT GOD WILL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE.

PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS AND FEEL FREE TO PASS IT ON.

DO YOU EVEN HAVE A "CLUE" AS TO HOW MUCH POWER YOU HAVE?

_________________________________________________________________________________________________
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10: 19 (KJV)

I had finally reached a point in my life where I really felt in control of things. I had become born again and had realized the importance of having a prayer life. Years ago, I had went to a funeral and had heard someone ask a lady what she was doing and she proudly exclaimed with great honor: "Working for the Lord!" I said to myself how admirable it was and made a mental note of it.

Every day regardless of the weather, in the dark of the night I left out early before traffic began to go to prayer. In the corporate environment I was able to commune with God and hear things that I had never heard before. I was making "like minded" friends; which is really important for saints and all was well.

THEN THE ENEMY STRUCK...

One morning I woke up and the whole room was spinning, I was so dizzy, I had to lay back down. I had to get to prayer. So though I walked like a drunk person and looked disoriented and felt bad; I pushed on to prayer. As soon as I got into the sanctuary, it went away. This happened for three months.

Now, a lot of people that are stricken get caught up in it. It's not that I don't have sympathy. I do. Much has come my way: Brain tumors, Carpel Tunnel syndrome, horrid vision, Depression, cancer, headaches of the worst kind, and I could go on. We are overcomers!

I began to speak to the dizziness and I let Satan know, it would not deter me. It went away.

God is faithful. He backs His Word! You need to know that you believer have power! You need to start using it too!

PRAYER IS EASY........ (a poem) by Elaine Davenport

Prayer is easier than working a job, it's easier than taking a test, it's like a good workout, only it's spiritual.

It will give me the solution to pay a bill, buy food, get what I need, if I'll just have faith and obey.

All I have to do is adhere to God's Word, but I have to make sure that I do it His way.

There's a great temptation to change things around to put things on our own time tables,

To second guess God, to think that we're helping Him, the God who is able to do all that we could ever ask or think, there's no doubt that God can provide the missing link.

Now do not fool yourself and say you're in the flock for your own gain, for God will not be mocked and He supplies the latter rain.

No one can convince you over and over again when you have doubt that God says in His Word that if you believe; then you win.

Prayer just takes a few minutes in a very private place, where you give God Glory and speak with him in your own personal space,

Commune with the Father and The Son, and soon you will see that your victory is won.

My prayer for you is that you will become close with the Spirit of Truth, who will show you all things and that the angels will carry you on all of their wings. I also pray that deep in your heart will the Word rest and never depart; so that when trouble comes and before you can pout that the Word will rise up and out of your mouth it will sprout.

You are made in Gods image and you are richly Blessed; yes, the God of the Breakthrough will deliver you out of any trial or test.

Wednesday, April 18

How much time will you give God today?

Good news: Only you and He know.

Other news: Only He can see the road ahead of you. Only you can pray out His perfect will for your life.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

PRAYER WARRIOR TRAINING 101

Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven." Matthew 18: 19

When you decide to serve God by being a prayer warrior, it's an opportunity.

Think about this: The home team has just gotten into the playoffs; someone gives you a FRONT ROW floor seat. It's a Blessing! You realize it's a once in a lifetime opportunity; you'll be there without a doubt. You already know that the game will be totally different from that seat. You wouldn't trade this opportunity for anything and you won't miss it. The weather, transportation, nothing can stop you from seeing this first hand!

Well deciding to become a Prayer Warrior will be an experience. You'll become a V.I.P. You'll get a front row seat to miracles and answered prayer like never before! I assure you is that you wouldn't trade it for anything. It's a whole lot like getting that FRONT ROW floor seat.

One strength that I'd love to see more of in the body of Christ is that people will get a desire to pray for and with other people more and not just for themselves.

Jesus called us to be disciples.

God is going to send people across your path and you've got to be ready to minister to them in prayer. If you'll listen to their concerns and step out in faith, the Holy Spirit will lead you. Now, this is the point of caution: You have to have ammunition. This is how you get it:

PREREQUISITES: You have a heart for God; you love Him with all your heart, mind and soul AND you love your neighbor as yourself. You want to minister and disciple through prayer.

1. You have to develop a prayer life
2. Seek a relationship with God
3. Meditate in the Word of God
4. Speak the Word of God
5. Pray in your own language
6. Pray in the Spirit
7. Listen for that still small voice on the inside of you
8. Give from your heart
9. Believe that you have what you ask for
10. Remember that faith comes by hearing
11. Reach out to others for prayer
12. Remember you work for God and He orders your steps
13. Stay humble
14. Stay Holy
15. Make a decision
16. Be in expectation

A PRAYER FOR THE COMMUNITY AFFECTED BY THE VIRGINIA TECH MASSACRE!

I am asking you if you are reading this to join us in agreement in prayer regarding the events that occurred at the Virginia Techcollege campus; knowing that God honors our prayers.

Heavenly Father, we stand before your throne this day in the Name of Jesus. We bind the spirit of confusion and contention on the Virginia Tech campus as people look to point a finger for who might be the blame. We loose Godly peace and comfort in that environment. Thank you for dispersing angels to that place to cover that community. We also bind the spirit of fear in that place.

Please comfort those families whose loved ones who have been lost or injured! We pray that people will begin to form collaborative efforts to show those families that they are loved; just like they did for New York City victims and for the Hurricane Katrina victims.

We pray for the administrators that they will be able to handle all of the pressure and rise to the occasion. We pray for that police department; that their actions are not second guessed. We thank you for their dedication and service. We pray for each and every student, some have lost friends, family, a sense of security and some have lost confidence. We pray that their hearts will be strengthened.

We pray for that community; that they will pour forth to minister to those students. Where are all the people who come rushing forth in a crisis Lord; please send them forth!

We also pray for the family of the shooter: Cho Seung-Hui. We pray that they will not be ridiculed; but that the truth will come out. We pray that families who have children who are challenged with mental illnesses will pay more attention to them and gain wisdom about getting them healed and not just medicated.

We plead the blood of Jesus over the Va. Tech campus and every single college campus or school in this country. We are not ignorant of Satan's devices. So we decree right now that there will not be another occasion like this, not on our watch.

We declare that the saints of God will have an advantage to minister the Word of God throughout the land so that people will know of Your mighty love for them.

We know that Your Word cannot return unto you void; for You are not a man that you should lie.

We will not let our guard down; so from this day forth we agree to pray For our country and it's people. In Jesus Name. AMEN

Have you ever thought about hosting a Prayer Party?

Just a thought.

Don't Ignore the call to prayer...

There's a reason this is being brought to your attention. Don't ignore the call.

_____________________________________________________________________

DISCLAIMER: YOU'LL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR READING THIS SO PAY ATTENTION!

God got a word to me in the middle of a crisis that I faced almost five years ago. I was facing the end of my life. I had no spiritual life; I was pitiful. I found out that my problem was a prayer problem. I was forced to take a look at my prayer life! That was a joke.

A good workout (of prayer) before bed or in the morning for a couple of minutes is not enough.

The average American believes in prayer. Now whether that prayer is a sprint, by somebody else or said like a wish followed by great worry depends on who they are.

People with a prayer life are not average; they are a rare species, not ordinary. But I submit to you today: your prayer life tremendously impacts your everyday life.
God wants to have a relationship with you. He wants to know you and for you to know Him!

Let me give you an example.

If you have a favorite singer. Let's say it's: you name them or Paul McCartney.

You begin to collect his memorabilia, pictures, Cd's, articles etc; but you NEVER talk to him. DO YOU KNOW HIM? No, you're just a fan.

Well, people say they love the Lord and they start to collect things but they never talk to Him, or commune with Him. Do they know Him No, they're just a fan.

DO YOU KNOW GOD, DOES GOD KNOW YOU...OR ARE YOU JUST A FAN?

GET A LIFE! GET A PRAYER LIFE!

Monday, April 16

WELCOME!

Hello to you dear friend. You can call me an observer. I'm also on fire for God. Just like the people in the world think everything is okay without God. I know everything is okay with God.

That said..this is about prayer.

God hears prayers, needs prayers and answers prayers. It's the one exercise that you ought to be doing on a daily basis! Your life or the life of those around you may indeed depend on it!

Now you've got many lives. Here are a few of them:

1. Physical
2.Emotional
3.SPIRITUAL
4.Financial
5.Emotional
6.Psychological
7. Familial

and maybe a few more. In all of these areas; you need a balance. I know for a FACT that prayer will help you in all of these areas.

COMMIT YOUR LIVES TODAY TO PRAYER.........

PRAY IN YOUR FUTURE

GOD HONORS PRAYER. HE DID IT FOR ME, HE'LL DO IT FOR YOU. THE BIBLE SAYS HE IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS. IN OTHER WORDS; WHAT HE'LL DO FOR ONE PERSON, HE'LL DO FOR ANOTHER.

THAT SAID: PRAY IN YOUR FUTURE.

Don't be tricked!

If you read my background regarding my spiritual, church and Word experience with an optimistic perspective, you can agree with me that I was Blessed to have been to both places. I remember splits at several churches I went too. Different denominations, but similar behaviors amongst the people, the members. Too funny.

That wasn't love, it wasn't like. There was no faking it, no mistaking it. But I took FAITH away from both of those places, great faith and I took the power to pray from them, so because of it, I was able to grow stronger spiritually because I know what I don't want.

One of the greatest problems that people encountered was OFFENSE, and they didn't know it. Many still don't. Careful, careful, it's Satan's quicksand.

His purpose is to make you shrink in faith and CUT OFF your prayer life, but don't be tricked!

The TRUTH, a former Baptist Lutheran on origins of prayer power.

You know we were all raised in a household of faith. Unfortunately, it wasn't the one we lived in. It was my grandmothers house. She never missed church and if you lived there; you never missed. You had to make up your bed everyday. You had to pay rent if you were working weekly.

You had to eat all your food on the plate and you had to go to church on Sunday. It was never discussed. Our grandmother had a knack for getting her way. She attended a Baptist church and though we were being raised as Lutherans; it made no difference to her. My grandmother was a confident woman of faith. Though she never worked a formal job as I grew up with her; she lacked nothing.

I wish that I could tell you that I saw her praying but that wasn't the case. I can tell you that she made sure that I did.

At her church which I didn't like that much, I was an observer. The people were friendly. But I was a kid then, and I was used to the quietness of the Lutheran service. I didn't like all that hollering and I especially didn't like when some one got filled with the Holy Ghost. I would watch them carefully. Though they weren't faking, I just didn't see where all that was necessary.

I decided at an early age that I did not like singing preachers. It got so bad (my distaste for singing preachers) that at some point; I threatened that I'd leave the service if I ever heard another one. (God is merciful indeed)

I thought the Lutherans were more sophisticated. My "preconceived: notions were formed because of my being moved back and forth as my mother tried to save her marriage by shipping my sister and I out on week-ends. Over time, it backfired almost because we both became somewhat rebellious in our teen years. I was the worst. We began to think she didn't want us and was starting a new family without us. It wasn't that. She was young and tired and a good woman. I can't tell you where her faith was because I didn't see many signs of it, but I believe it was there somewhere.

Around the age of ten years old, I was back at the Lutheran church attending church regularly by myself. Nobody was a Lutheran around that neighborhood. The Baptists had a lock down on the whole community and I liked being different. No one had taught me a lot of the Word. I knew all the factual stuff, but I did not understand it.

I thought the Lutherans were cliquish and snobbish and I realize that it may have been my teen-age opinion or that fact that people in churches have a tendency to devalue children whose parents don't attend church. My sister was supposed to be there too. She didn't always come, but learned plenty and was confirmed, just like me. That was a water sprinkled baptism. Smile, but grandma didn't like that and saw to it that we were dunked in the water at an early age.
Between these two churches, I developed a feeling of being lonely. It was that sentiment that led me to begin to pray and establish a talking relationship with God. He always answered my prayers. So much so that for years I sent Him one liners, but had not a valid prayer life.

Over the years, I drifted in and out of various churches. I found my way back to the Baptist church for a season. One day I woke up on a Sunday and just could not go back. I had been saturated with church divisions, schisms, slights, competition, clicks, gossip, collections and more. I didn't say it happened to me, I was just an observer. The church is not a perfect place, but I needed good spiritual leadership and some solid teaching, plus I needed time to absorb it all. My time at both church denominations (Baptist & Lutheran) could have been better spent.

I had an opportunity to visit a Methodist church; even a Mosque and saw things I didn't like either.

So I continued my prayer life and searched some more for he right spiritual place.

Finally, I found a great Catholic church for me and my son. THAT WAS A DISASTER! After several trips, we decided that wasn't the place for us.

At last the Baptists are friendly I kept thinking; because my conclusion was that the Catholics were too stiff, too distant and unfriendly.

Finally, I found a non denominational church. I really wasn't interested in going. I knew nothing about them. However, it was there that I found God and found out more about Him through the teaching of the Word.

God showed me through people how to pray and why it's so valuable. My journey ended and finally I was at home. Now, I had to pray for my family who was under great siege from Satan!

The Most Important Prayer you could ever pray!

The prayer of salvation is the most important prayer you can pray. Even if you've prayed it already. God is waiting on you to pray it with someone else.

It is absolutely amazing how few people know how to pray for other people or how few believers know how to pray the prayer of salvation. It is also called: A sinners prayer.

You can pray and ask the Lord for boldness to be able to do this and He will honor your prayer.

Here's your first assignment; learn it. God will be pleased.

A Sinners Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, I stand before you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I have sinned, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I ask for your forgiveness.

I believe that your Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Word, in Romans 10:9: if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised him from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am born again.

Amen.

That's the first step. Now you must go and find a good Bible based church and get into the Word, develop a prayer life and find out what God's plan is for your life is.

Please remember this when it comes to a church; no church is perfect, but if you'll put God first and love in your heart and take it upon yourself to learn good doctrine, you'll be fine. Pray first and ask God to direct your path. Let your spirit lead you and not your head and above all else; be honest with yourself!

JUST PLAIN COMMON SENSE: ARE YOU PRAYING?

WELL, WE CAN'T TALK ABOUT PRAYING WITHOUT FINDING OUT IF YOU ARE PRAYING. MOST PEOPLE THINK IT'S TOO MUCH TROUBLE, NOT REALIZING IT'S JUST LIKE AN EMPTY GAS TANK OR BANK ACCOUNT.

WHEN THE EMERGENCY COMES, YOU GOTTA HAVE SOMETHING IN THERE.

TRUTH BE TOLD; IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO BE AN EMERGENCY.

I John 5:14-15 "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."

10 THINGS CHILDREN SHOULD KNOW ABOUT PRAYER

by Susan Taylor Brown

1. Prayer is communication.
It can be spoken or silent. It can be a song or a story. It can be a picture or a dance.

2. Prayer can be done as often as you like.
Every week. Every day. Every hour.

3. Prayer can be done however you want.
There's no right or wrong way to pray.

4. Prayer can be shared, but doesn't have to be.
It can be done alone or with a favorite toy. It can be done with friends, family or pets.

5. Prayer can be done anywhere.
It can be done in your room or at the kitchen table.
It can be done out in your yard, at the park or even at the zoo.

6. Prayer can be done in any mood.
You can be happy, sad, angry, scared or confused when you pray.

7. Prayer can be for yourself or someone else.
If you know someone who could use a little help - add them to your prayers.

8. Prayer doesn't need a certain structure, length or specific words.
Whatever words you use, long or short, however your prayer comes out is fine.

9. Prayer doesn't need a special occasion.
There are certain prayers appropriate to special occasions
but you don't need to wait for a special time to pray.

10. Prayer doesn't have to be a request.
It can also be used to give thanks for what you have already received.
"Thank you," is a perfect prayer.

Susan Taylor Brown is the author of the children's picture book, CAN I PRAY WITH MY EYES OPEN?
(ISBN #0786803282) Many children wonder about prayer and this non-denominational, multicultural book offers an answer. Whether angry or alone or playing with friends, every child is assured that
they can pray when, where, and how they want --- and they will always be heard.

Are you out of order?

Prayer will allow you to be Blessed, changed rescued; but "you " have to do it. It's more important than so many things that you do that waste your time, but the decision is yours.

It will allow you to walk in God's best, allow you to have an orderly life. Honestly ask yourself how your life is. Do you have any way of knowing if what you're doing is what God wants you to do? Try to find out. God hears prayers. He acts on them too.

    Psalm 91:15
He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.(NIV)

DID YOU MAKE YOUR LIST YET?

And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it's not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins." Mark 11: 25 The Message Bible

Born again believer, saved, sanctified, tongue talking and imperfect; that’s me.

I realized one day that I had to forgive anyone and everyone that had ever (imagined or real) done something to me. I wanted to do this right so I made a list. I was VERY honest with myself and I did not lie. When I finished making the list, it was two pages long!

That was the easy part.

I had to take a look at each name from my heart. I scratched them off one by one. I asked myself: Can I forgive this person and truthfully said: “Yes or No.”

In the end there were 3 names and a lot of old “baggage.” It took me almost two weeks to totally forgive those three. One was a man who had murdered my father. I had never forgiven him, I had only forgotten.

My inability to do that had caused me not to experience God’s best.

My life is so much better off with those burdens lifted. My prayers were no longer hindered!

DID YOU MAKE YOUR LIST YET? MAYBE YOU DON’T EVEN NEED ONE…THAT SHOWS THAT YOU ARE SPIRITUALLY GROWN UP IN THIS AREA AND THAT’S VERY GOOD!

WHAT DO YOU NEED PRAYER FOR?

I walked all over town looking for people to pray for. Everywhere I went; I found people who needed prayer. People needed an answer. They wanted to know stuff, they needed some things. Sometimes what they wanted was something they could put their hands on but mostly they wanted peace and more confidence. Maybe their faith wasn't exactly ideal, but they had faith and faith is all that is required. They believed that God would hear their request and send relief.

So what do you need prayer for?

My next question is when do you need an answer?

What if I told you that there is a way that you can pray so that you won't have so much worry about things. A way that you can pray to help you feel better about things that come up even emergencies that will give you peace and confidence. Would you like to hear more about it?

THE ANSWER

The bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Guaranteed if you keep hearing the word of God; it will help you with your faith. Faith is confidence in God's promises. Faith brings you peace.

DIDN'T GOD SAY:Beloved, I wish above all things that thou (you) mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth.

DIDN'T HE SAY IT?

GOD'S HEART IS WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU.

WHEN YOU KNOW ALL OF THIS YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT YOUR PRAYERS ARE HEARD AND THAT THEY WILL BE ANSWERED!

Have a Blessed Day!

It's our job to pray for you and we take it seriously!

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. 1Samuel 12:23 (KJV)

THE POWER OF PRAYER

The Bible is a great training manual for instruction and guidance regarding prayer. The Word even suggests infers that prayer offers us in some way; restorative power.

Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God].

Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord's name.

And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5: 13-16

Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months. [I Kings 17:1.]

And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual]. [I Kings 18:42-45.]

HOW PRAYER CHANGED MY LIFE...

I was very leery of churches that day when I found my way in to that small chapel. Every fiber of my being was telling me to get up and leave. Yet, the thoughts of the cancer, the funeral plans I had made and the fact that I had told God that I wanted to hear about healing was keeping me there. I was at least going to give them a chance, to hear what they had to say.

Soon enough a young man came out and began to speak about healing and how God wanted me to have it. He even explained exactly what to do and had a pocketful of stories on people who had gotten healing of varied ailments.

But what he said after that; took deep root in my heart.

He said that he can tell why people stay sick based on the amount of time they spend praying a day. I almost screamed Wow out loud.

In this country, the average American spends less than 30 minutes a week praying. Of course, there are many exceptions.

I needed a supernatural intervention and I KNEW average wouldn't cut it.

So I developed a prayer life. The cancer left, my family was restored, my marriage was restored, my children were restored, my finances were restored. my transportation which was in dire straights multiplied, my spiritual life soared and my life began anew!

Once that happened, I vowed never to be caught on the defense again. That's why I became a PRAYER WARRIOR!

WHEN UNFORGIVENESS GETS IN THE WAY...

I DIDN'T SEE IT COMING THAT DAY. NO, I DIDN'T SEE IT COMING. I WAS GOING ON AND ON WITNESSING TO A RELUCTANT FRIEND ABOUT THE GOODNESS OF GOD WHEN THEY SAID SOMETHING THAT I TOTALLY WAS UNPREPARED FOR.

"GOD NEVER ANSWERS MY PRAYER. OH YES, HE DOES IT FOR OTHER PEOPLE, BUT NOT FOR ME."

DEADPAN SILENCE.

THEY SAID IT AGAIN.

THIS WAS A TIME WHEN I NEEDED TO BE ABLE TO SAY SOMETHING AND ON MY OWN; I COULD THINK OF NOTHING AT ALL.

MY MOUTH OPENED AND I SAID:

"WELL ALL I CAN THINK OF IS THAT THERE MUST BE SOMEONE THAT YOU WON'T FORGIVE..."

DEADPAN SILENCE.

ONLY THIS TIME, THE BALL WAS IN THEIR COURT AND THEY HAD TO THINK ABOUT IT,

FINALLY THEY ADMITTED THAT NOT ONLY WAS THERE SOMEONE WHOM THEY HAD NOT FORGIVEN, BUT THEY WERE NEVER GOING TO FORGIVE THEM. I EXPLAINED THAT UNFORGIVENESS IS SPIRITUAL POISON AND THAT'S IT'S DISOBEDIENCE. IT'S SOMETHING THAT CAN'T BE OVERLOOKED AND MUST BE CHECKED...HEAD ON.

WE JUST LEFT IT THERE. I WAS LATER ABLE TO EXPLAIN THE WORD:

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. MARK 11: 25

AND ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT THEY RE STILL DEALING WITH IT, I'M STILL PRAYING FOR THEM. I ASK YOU TO DO SO AS WELL.

WHAT I NEVER KNEW ABOUT PRAYER COULD FILL A BOOK

MY PRAYER JOURNEY WAS NOT AN EXPECTED TREK, BUT I LOOKED UP ONE DAY AND I HAD BECOME A PRAYER WARRIOR. CLEARLY, I WAS AN UNLIKELY CANDIDATE; I USED TO THINK.

I WAS RAISED IN THE LUTHERAN CHURCH AND WE DEEPLY PRAISED AND WORSHIPPED IN OUR ASSEMBLY. AS A CHILD AND A TEEN; THERE WAS TREMENDOUS SUPPORT TO MAKE SURE THAT I KNEW GOD'S WORD.

IF I TOOK ANYTHING AWAY FROM THAT PART OF MY JOURNEY; I WOULD SAY THAT IT WAS THERE THAT I LEARNED THAT GOD WAS REAL.

AT THE AGE OF TEN, I CAN REMEMBER SENDING UP PRAYERS FOR MY FUTURE THAT GOD ANSWERED.

I THEN DEVELOPED A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD BUT MY PERCEPTION OF PRAYER WAS THAT IT WAS ONLY TO BE A SINCERE FEW MOMENTS IN A QUIET PLACE.

OVER THE YEARS, THOSE CONVERSATIONS BECAME SHORTER AND SHORTER AND BECAUSE OF MY
REVERENCE FOR GOD; I DECIDED NOT TO WASTE HIS TIME WITH SMALL STUFF; JUST THE BIG PROBLEMS. SMILE.

IT LIKELY WOULD HAVE GONE ON THAT WAY; BUT SOME THINGS HAPPENED:

1, I GOT BORN AGAIN
2. I FOUND A WONDERFUL BIBLE BASED CHURCH AND BEGAN TO LEARN SO MUCH
ABOUT PRAYER.
3. I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE POWER OF PRAYER.
4. I NEEDED SOME THINGS TO CHANGE IN MY LIFE AND MY PRAYERS WERE NEEDED.
5. I FOUND OUT THAT PRAYING WAS FUN AND THAT I COULD PRAY THE PERFECT
WILL OF GOD; NOT ONLY FOR MY LIFE BUT FOR OTHER PEOPLE.
6. I GOT HOOKED TO PRAYING.

I BEGAN MY JOURNEY AND I FOUND OUT THAT WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT PRAYER COULD NOT ONLY CHANGE MY LIFE; BUT THAT IT COULD FILL A BOOK.

I'LL BE SURE TO TELL YOU MORE ABOUT IT, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THIS SITE IS ALL ABOUT.
